when you hear the word gubuk, somehow will visualize a scenic landscape of indonesian local villages surrounded by rice fields. now i am inviting you to breathe in the fresh air, hear the sound of water flowing through, and imagine how life used to be before this era of modernization.

more than just a brand, this project was initiated in december 2018 by a law graduate and a business graduate — turned into self-made designers and builders — who have a keen interest in art, design and craftsmanship.
“bersambung” in bahasa has the meaning of “to be continued”, “connected”, “continuously”, or “in continuation”, a word that is commonly used in storytelling to clue in that there is more to come. with this philosophy, bersambung studio believes that every craft and furniture craftsmanship process tells a distinct story.
