when one talks about “building better” there are so many things that arise in our head, including the different innovation, strategy, technology, material, and many other endless things, but one thing has always been there from the old days — and that is the connection between us, our creation, and nature.

land arquitectos is an architectural firm based in chile founded by angela delorenzo arancibia and cristóbal valenzuela haeussler. them and the whole team strongly believe that every project presents an opportunity to produce enormous impact, whether to the natural environment or to the social environment.

the story began with the goal to create a tie between the built structure and the natural environment across many different scales of projects. this mission then took the firm further to understand the real impact of a site beyond a single point of view. angela delorenzo shares the team’s experience with a watershed planning project in the north patagonian lake, as she finds the process really empowers local values, nurtures nature, and uplifts people above all.
