it is very pleasing to see so many designers and creatives thriving these days. with the global nature of the internet, sharing the culture of social media, and a future with an expressive generation, we see numerous ‘innovation’ and things being created every day. at a rate this high, indeed we are learning and growing faster than ever.

unfortunately, despite the situation yielding better problem solvers, there are always some loads that come with whatever we put together. among others, the environment suffers the most from the added carbon footprint, the work, and the excess waste we generate whenever we do not do something ‘right’. therefore, it is necessary to form some sort of framework for designing in order to reduce the imprudent efforts we give the world.

it is challenging to compose such “best practice in design” with there being countless non-constant variables, such as the scope of work, the environment of the work, and the goals of each project; let alone what people constitute as “best” is broadly relative. however, all differences aside, there is one controllable constant that is always true for all — that is choosing what and how we contribute as a designer.
