the mashrabiya-style entrance gate for dubai expo 2020 revealed
if you ever traveled to the middle east, and see many arabic-pattern installations or architectures, then it’s the mashrabiya screens that we are going to tell you about!
recently revealed, the british architectural studio asif khan had introduced the entrance gateways installations made of woven carbon fiber took form of a 21-meter-high mashrabiya-style for the dubai expo 2020 which will be held this october.
so the three exhibition entry portals are all in size of 30 meters long, situated on top of bridges spanning roads around the site of the next world expo. the design that khan made dedicated as part of the four miles of public realm that khan’s studio has designed for dubai expo 2020, as the long event expects to welcome 25 million visitors locally and globally.
