the compact house in zenpukuji by aoyagi design
when it comes to japanese design, there’s one that we never get bored of: a compact and minimalist house.
the latest one that caught our attention is a three-storey small house by aoyagi design. quietly blend in the quiet neighborhood of zenpukuji, a residential area in tokyo’s outskirts. the house consists of only 50 square meters. whether if you think it is too small for a big living, surprisingly, it is big enough to houses an interplay of privateness and intimacy, wrapped in warm wooden accents and bright white tone.
house in zenpukuji was made to infuse a pure, clean, and minimalist nuance, dedicated for a couple, who worked as an architect, and its lovely children. the storeys allow the homeowners to enjoy a floating feeling as there is a room that connects to the open landscape. one includes a schoolyard on the opposite of the street.
