as a designer, we ought to make the most innovative solution derived from a traditional mix and contemporary approach with an immeasurable value to the environment and many essential aspects in our lives.

yet, oftentimes we forget to translate them in a language that many people can understand and comprehend.

communication is the key. and having transparency is the supporting key that bridges eternal valuable results between what you are creating, to who you are giving this to and the story behind it, which perhaps don’t always expose on a physical form, but through the process, and better understanding is more than words could tell.

where did we learn this from?

sep verboom from livable, as a design and research platform with a mission to envision a future-proof approach between people, environment, and society, livable is very transparent with their design and processes: the concept, the collaborators, the aspirations, and the origins of their products. through this platform, it is clear that verboom sees design as three things:

1) design as a problem solver for contemporary challenges,

2) design as a tool for communication, and 3) design as a social currency.
