designaware was born and rooted in the noble desire to raise and enhance awareness through livable, accessible, and responsible design.

two passionate sisters lead the studio; takbir fatima, who graduated from the architectural association design research lab, london, and abeer fatima who complements with an interior design degree from from raffles colleges of design. driven by the relentless fact that design was often identified only for the privileged, they began the journey of pursuing it as a movement rather than just a practice to achieve a higher degree of inclusivity and a better-educated community.

“design shouldn’t be a privilege of a few members of society. but it should be accessible by everyone,” said takbir fatima to the design story.

this is where everything began with designaware. the two humble sisters from hyderabad, india, expand architectural horizons beyond the multidisciplinary role of building and designing.

“here, we speak about the process. coming through different iterations, methods, and materials, and the openness to all kinds of collaborations,” added abeer fatima.
