dhaka is a city with memories. amongst all the evolution and revolution, the city has always been a home to beautiful landscapes.

the pure water, the green scenery, the blue sky, the indulging breeze, are the natural compounds that accompany the dense streets. culture, tradition, and ambition nestled in every corner, sending out a poetic memoir to every man who was born in the city: to embrace the message and celebrate its authenticity.

to rafiq azam, a bangladeshi architect recognized for his long-time architectural practice under his firm “shatotto, the architecture for green living”, dhaka has always been the main inspiration.

along with his beautiful philosophy that strongly believes in the power of humanity in any sense, his practice and design language have led him to multiple awards throughout the year of his journey — 2017 gold medal from the arcasia awards for architecture; 2012 leading european architects’ forum (leaf) awards, three-time recipient of world architecture community award 2008–09, four- time recipient of south asian awards for architecture, and numerous more — generating an immeasurable impact in a greater sense of the environment, society, and master planning.
