priestmangoode’s flying balloon makes a breakthrough in commercial space travel

priestmangoode — british transport design studio, has unveiled its design concept for a high-performance balloon and pressurized capsule that can fly travelers to take a brief look at the outer space through the upper edge of the earth’s atmosphere.

named neptune, the spaceship was designed for american space tourism startup, space perspective, and is said to have its first uncrewed flight test scheduled to take flight in early 2021. the capsule further is capable of taking up to eight explorers onboard. the craft will also be provided by a suite of research payloads for a six-hour journey until it reaches the upper edge of the earth.
