for his years as the president of the united states, barack obama was awarded the nobel peace prize “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people.”

amongst his many achievements during his 2 periods of presidential reigns are: ending the iraq war, implementing socio-culture policies such as the healthy hunger-free kids act, and providing my brother’s keeper — the white house’s initiative to help young minorities to achieve their full potential.

to honor this part of history, the obama presidential center is about to take place as a world-class museums and gathering space that is set to break ground in 2020. it is a space that sends out a signal of hope to young organizers, leaders, community workers, and change agents in southside of chicago — where obama and his wife built supporters and collective friends.
