nendo reveals its latest design for japan airlines’ domestic and international in-flight amenities featuring a red crane that symbolize the airline’s noble logo and gray shades that distinguish the travel classes during the trip.

this paper crane is used in many items, including cardigans, eye masks, slippers, and cutlery bands. blankets, tablecloths, napkins, and other rectangular fabric items bear the detail of a folded corner in the image of the crane’s head. whilst the pattern for folding a paper crane was added as a design element on pouches, menu cards, and similar kit.

minimalist blanket with a red origami crane

the origami red crane “tsurumaru” resembles peace, prayer, and hospitality spirit. hence it makes the perfect accompaniment for the blanket, which aims to keep the passenger warm on board.

the blanket motif was designed to be plain and minimalist. featuring a small folded corner in similar red that provides the same color as the bird.
