when designing a chicken coop, perhaps the most important thing to consider has always been all about the appropriate nesting box, a comfortable and wide-enough roosting bar for the flocks to mates up close all night, the feeder and waterer.

however, providing enough room inside the coop keeps them safe from predators are way too basic that as farmers, we also have to consider building structure. not only how it can protect them from cool winds and precipitation, not only it is designed in high-end finishes, but how the ventilation structure is well designed, how do you set coop to be easy to clean, and of course, to keep these birds happy and healthy at all time!

in puerto escondido mexico, japanese renowned architect kengo kuma associates (kkaa) introduces the modern kind of chicken coop that does not only talk about its functional form, but also the aesthetic and valuable part where the coop was meant to be like a collective housing project.
