what is the first thing popping in your head when hearing alien autopsy exhibition?
nope, there was no alien. yet a stockholm-based artist, åsa stenerhag, has created his ceramic series that looks like alien body parts during her latest exhibition last year.
at least over 30 pieces were staged by stenerhag on her own showroom in hammary by allé 51, from 14 to 28 november 2019.
each of the products is brushed in shades of white, brown, and black. meanwhile, the stoneware pieces, which resemble a skull and bone, are to portray human body parts.

the ceramics and sculptures come in variety of shapes and sizes. as the designer bakes each piece of them before brush them in white to ensure the stoneware able to absorb the color well.
linseed oil, shoe polish, and gouache are among the substances she uses for dyeing.
