inside the platypus cafe: skateboards, mini playground, and cactuses

having a philosophy to bridge the relationship between people has turned the taiwan-based platypus cafe concept store, which homes to simple longboards, a vienna-based skateboard brand, to incorporate the idea of millennial-alike cafes and skateboarding space.

the initial construction started in 2019 after the brand evaluated five potential cities for their shop locations, which are amsterdam, seoul, taipei, tokyo, vienna.

modern life today often associated with people and coffee shops. to have skateboarding as a lifestyle, is another concept of enjoying life which can be translated to design… presenting a landscape and highway style of skateboarding; weathered wooden pillars, and cactuses.
