inside ster house: a project by delution architect

jakarta based architectural studio practice, delution, again, introduces residential designs that answer solutions to a housing complex situated on a small land.

after the 65sqm linaya house, trow house, and splow house which has successfully fulfill the needs of housing complex in growing urban city, now the studio has come up with ster house. designed in a similar approach to their previous ones, maintaining what they refer to as “a compact living”, counter the challenge of a small and narrow area, vertically built to amalgamate private greeneries.

there are many solutions to limited land in building a house. however, for this house in tebet, south jakarta, the solution taken by the architect was a design with a vertical approach.

ster house tends to grow vertically with strong zoning of space. the concept of this house was introduced with the name ster house from the word of stairs tower which reflects the execution of the “staircase tower” design in this house. each floor, ster house is connected by stairs arranged in a semi-outdoor zone, green and separate from the main room zone. makes it look like a staircase tower that is the icon of this house. with this design, the service circulation will not disturb the private zones of each floor.
