cape town-based leading interior design studio, arrcc, has unveiled its latest collaboration in johannesburg with cimato moroldo architects and contemporary furniture by okha in an artistic house for a businessman who is passionate about african art and his love of entertaining.

to achieve the purpose, mark and his team maintain an uncluttered thread throughout the five‐bedroom home while at the same time connecting the spaces that could be used simultaneously.

“this house had to be as multi‐functional as possible so that it could adapt to family holidays, feasts with friends, and more formal moments when hosting executive guests”, explained arrcc director mark rielly.

the house features a double-volume entrance that can be reached through a concrete bridge on the welcoming water feature. it is wrapped in dark grey walls on the exterior, providing a cocoon‐like enclosure to lead one into the glass‐fronted doorway. it leads to an exclusive plot twist impression inside, with bright white surfaces and light-filled rooms.
