in the mids of 2020, burger king has announced the eco-friendly whopper sandwich that aims to tackle beef’s environmental impact by collaborating with top-scientists to work on the research.

lately, the fast-food-chain announced the continuation of their baby step towards sustainability, joining mcdonald’s and starbucks’s similar attempt to create a reusable food package.

ever since the covid-19 pandemic hits the world, the planet gets cleaner and better in industrial pollution and gas emissions. however, one thing that is getting worse is the consumers’ habit of purchasing delivery and takeaways that increase more waste piling up on the landfill by the end of the day.

this what triggers burger king to take the initiative to make their food package sustainable by collaborating with terracycle, is a social enterprise whose mission is to eliminate waste.

so this isn’t about a fancy design of your favorite whopper’s package, but a small process that educates us to eat responsibly wherever we are, consider it is now less difficult to join sustainable wave as most of our daily activities have shifted into the “norm”.

the program’s first step begins in 2021, offering reusable containers and cups for the customers…
