based in the picturesque village of la turbie on the côte d’azur, architect jeremy biermann and his wife were looking to find their weekend house, minutes away from their primary residence in monaco. the architect couple chose a typical village house to adapt it into a contemporary and minimalist space while working with local artisans and preserving many of the house’s original features.

the kitchen looks onto the lounge area, as well as the dining space. crafted in resin and wood, the kitchen offers large working space and is finished with all the latest kitchen appliances. the appliances were purposely hidden to preserve an authentic feel. the stone wall in the back is one of the house’s original features that was preserved.

the architect, jeremy biermann, wanted to find a family home where he could settle with his loved ones. the feeling of being elsewhere while remaining close to the city was the objective. jeremy biermann practices his profession in his architecture studio in monaco, in the areas of real estate development and investment projects on the french riviera, in paris, and in belgium.
