a peek to the first south korean artsy department store
located at the heart of gwanggyo, a new town in southern seoul known for urban development surrounded by tall residential towers, the galleria has its mosaic stone-like appearance stand out in between the city’s public life.
the galleria is south korea’s first largest upscale department store. the store was franchised in the 1970s, and remained at the forefront of the premium retail market throughout the time.
from a food market and deli which are located in the basement, bars and restaurants in the eight floors, multi-screen cinema in the ninth and tenth floor, a lounge and academy on the upper level, the building has featured access for a passageway to capture the building’s leisure facilities.
completing the stunning facade is suwon gwanggyo lake park, and of course, the ubiquitous buildings surrounding city neighborhood. composing the intersection of nature and urban environment
