perhaps some of us have been exposed to mashrabiya, as saudi arabian special architectural elements, composed of beautiful wooden screens usually introduced in mosques. some bare-materials designs, as found in old houses made of stone on the ancient age, have taken to the account of saudi arabian aesthetics, with more or less influenced by their tradition.
however. this does not mean that the country is not open to variant of design languages.
in riyadh — the capital city, an argentinian architecture studio, hitzig militello arquitectos has introduced eye-catching restaurants and bars that took the spirit of traditional british tavern pub aesthetics, predominantly by bare bricks, as usually found in london.
