at this state of urban development, many people began to find it hard to get back to nature. as today outdoor living is one of the fastest-growing added value and experiences that we architects and city developers often forget to consider important.
nature has abundant benefits of wellbeing in many ways. and long before smartphones and self-driving cars, japan has deemed “forest bathing” as an essential part of its national health programs. taking the meaning of bathing which refers to immersing ourselves with nature, is why in every district of japan, there is always an outdoor therapy for the people to gain healing power of nature. mostly profound and accompanied by some outdoor installations and traditional structures.
to relieve stress, strengthen our body’s immune system, sharpen our focus, calm the mind from anxiety and depression, and increasing longevity, we can name some of the benefits.
